Carole Marie “Grandma Care Bear” Pitts, 74, of Bowling Green died Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Mary Washington Hospital. Born in Richmond, she was the daughter of Edith Pitts and the late Wilbur Pitts. She is survived by her mother, Edith Pitts; two children, Kristy Thomas Seal (Charles) and Troy Woodrow Thomas (Tammy); a brother, Todd Pitts; six grandchildren, Devin Dunnington (Tyler), Brittany Johnson, Chase Seal, Hunter Thomas, Holden Thomas, and Tori Thomas; four great grandchildren, Graham and Tessa Dunnington, Aliyah and Zaiyden Washington; two nieces Ashley Middlebrook (Junior) and Emma Pitts; three nephews, Cody Pitts, Dylan Pitts, Ashley Alden; great nephew, Landon Middlebrook; four cousins who she thought of as sisters, Wilma Nuckols, Norma Adkins, Shirley Henderson and Robin Tucker. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Pitts; a brother, Ronnie Pitts and a sister, Toni Lynn Pitts. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green with Rev. Melvin Covington officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.
