A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Storke Funeral Home, 131 3rd Street, Colonial Beach, VA 22443, where a visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial will be at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Chester, VA.
Cora Elizabeth “Liz” Eakes, 67, of Colonial Beach, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022. She was born November 20, 1954 in Richmond, VA to the late Claude and Mary Oakley Norris. Liz enjoyed her many plants and flowers, as well as sewing and crafting. She is a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and also attended LivingStone Community Church in Colonial Beach.
Liz is survived by her husband of over 36 years, Don Eakes, sons; Tony Ellis and Jason Eakes, and a granddaughter Alyssa Ellis. Liz was extremely close to her son Tony, granddaughter Alyssa, and her life-long friend Jeannie Bland, who she all dearly loved.
