Mildred “Marie” Macomber, 82, of Colonial Beach died peacefully, surrounded by family, Friday, June 7, 2019.
Born in Presque Isle, Maine, she was a resident of Colonial Beach for 47 years and an active member of the community, serving on the Colonial Beach Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, Colonial Beach Vol. Rescue Squad Auxiliary and the Eastern Star.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Elbert P. “Mac” Macomber. She is survived by two daughters, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister.
A graveside service will be held Monday, June 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at Historyland Memorial Park in King George.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Mary Washington Hospice.
