Paul Ellis Taylor left this world peacefully in his sleep on September 20, 2022 at the age of 81 in his hometown of Caroline County, VA. Paul is survived by his wife, Edith Taylor; son, Brent Taylor; granddaughters. Morgan Taylor and Alexandra Taylor; sisters, Barbara Beazley, Dale Alford, and Linda Martin; brothers, William Taylor, James Taylor, and Herbert Taylor; 4 stepchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, and 7 step-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his late wife Thelma Taylor; his mother, Rebecca Taylor; his father, Richard Taylor and his brothers Richard Lee Taylor, Lester Taylor, and Peter Taylor.  Paul was born on April 21, 1941 in Caroline County, VA. After graduating from Caroline High School, he began working at National Linen Services where he worked for 28 years. During that time, Paul met his late wife,Thelma and together they had one child, Brent. Throughout his career Paul was a business owner, and ultimately retired as the Quartermaster of the Peumansend Creek Detention Facility. Paul was a caring and devoted husband, son, father, grandfather and friend., He was an active member of the Kilwinning-Crosse #2-237 AF & AM Lodge and Bowling Green Lions Club. Paul enjoyed playing the piano, and often spent his Sundays playing at his church, Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Shumansville, where he was a member since childhood. A viewing will be held 1-2 pm Sunday, September 25, 2022 with a funeral service to follow at 2pm on Sunday September 25th at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A private burial will follow shortly after at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, VA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Bowling Green Rescue Squad, P. O.
