Just as peacefully as she entered this world, Skylar Shelby Weekly slipped out of this world on her own terms.  No fanfare or fuss.  Our hearts are broken and our world will be forever changed.

Skylar passed in her sleep very early the morning of Tuesday, November 8, 2022.  Born in Baltimore, MD to parents Lance and Faye Ann Shipley Weekly, Skylar grew up in Waldorf, MD and then moved to the area in August 2018.  She had many accomplishments including graduating from Washington and Lee High School, Class of 2021.  Skylar was an ever-present and accomplished member of the River Gym CBVA in Colonial Beach and was treasured by the staff and fellow gym-mates.

In addition to her parents, Skylar is survived by her brother Landon; her paternal grandparents Shelby Weekly and Charles Weekly (dec.); maternal grandparents Judith Carrigan and Jeffery Carrigan (dec.) and Charles Shipley (dec); aunts Jessica Jackson (Scott), Melissa Carrigan; uncle A J Carrigan (Davanna); cousins Cassidy, Quenten, Miriah and Asher; and many other family members and friends too numerous to name.

The family will receive friends from 4p-6p, Saturday, November 12 at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 6p.  This day is truly a celebration of Skylar’s triumphant and exceptional life.
