Anna D. Smith, 59, of King George, VA passed away peacefully on March 14, 2020 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by family members and loved ones at the time.

Anna was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.  She was an avid reader, an expert gardener, a self-taught culinary artist, and lover of animals and nature.

She was preceded in death by her father, William A. Smith, Jr., formerly of Richmond, VA, and her mother, Anna Taylor (Smith) Meyers, formerly of King George, VA.  She is survived by a brother, Taylor Smith of Wilmington, NC, two sisters, Mary Gray (Smith) Snyder of Gainesville, VA and Mildred (Smith) Watkins of King George, VA.  She was loved and adored by her niece Carlee Snyder, her three nephews Dandridge Smith, Evan Snyder, Jackson Watkins, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Anna’s name to the American Cancer Society or to the animal rescue league of your choice.  A springtime “Celebration of Life” is being planned. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.storkefuneralhome.com.
