Carol Ann Arnott, 62, of King George County passed away Friday, May 13, 2022, surrounded by her children in the comfort of her home.

She was born April 1, 1960, in Jersey City, N.J., to the late John Zelesny, Jr. and the late Mary Zelesny. She was a talented artist, an excellent cook, and an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling with family, especially to the beach and other tropical locations with her sister-in-law Mel, and was a much-loved Mama Llama who opened her home and heart to many “children” beyond her own. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, A. Michael Arnott, and a brother, John J. Zelesny III.

Survivors include her children, Dr. Courtney Silverthorn, and her husband, Matthew, of Leesburg, Daniel Arnott, of King George, and Alyssa Arnott, and her husband, Michael Anthony, of King George; her beloved granddaughter, Olivia Grace Anthony; her sister Mary Dillman and her husband, Peter, of Flemington, NJ; her brothers, William Zelesny and his wife, Christine, of Glen Gardner, NJ, Paul Zelesny and his wife, Francine, of Middlesex, NJ, Richard Zelesny of East Brunswick, NJ and Robert Zelesny of Flemington, NJ; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Monday, May 23, 2022, at Storke Funeral Home in King George. A graveside service will follow at Historyland Memorial Park Cemetery in King George.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Programs at the L. E. Smoot Memorial Library, where Carol had a long and loved career as a Library Assistant.
