Carrie Phillips, 41, residing in Montross passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at
her home.

A lifelong resident of Colonial Beach, Carrie’s career was a Paraprofessional working with Primary and Elementary students within the Colonial Beach School System. As a proud Drifter, she was active in sports including gymnastics, softball, and cheerleading. She excelled at cheering and was the Captain of the cheerleading squad. She was a very proud, dedicated and
devoted Mother to her three children. She was well loved by those who knew her and always had a smile on her face.

She is survived by her mother, Terry Petitt Morgenwick of Montross; her children, Brandon, Austin and Halie of Colonial Beach; two sisters, Jodi Petitt of Fredericksburg and Arica Thompson of King George; her brother, Michael Morgenwick, Jr.; her aunts, Sue Short of Colonial Beach and Tina Pursley of Hubert, NC; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and the father of her children, Joey Phillips. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael J. Morgenwick, Sr.

A memorial service to celebrate her life is planned for 1:00pm Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Colonial Beach Baptist Church, with a reception following at High Tides Restaurant.
