Dear Rose and family, Please accept my sincere sympathy. Sonny represents everything good in our community. He was an American hero who displayed courage in Vietnam and brought honor to our nation, for which we are forever indebted. I haven’t seen you or Sonny for some time now since we all retired; however, when our paths crossed, my heart filled with joy when I saw my old friends and King George High School classmates. May he have a well-deserved rest and eternal peace. Sincerely, Cynthia King Miller

My thoughts & prayers are with the Family.. Sonny was great person, I met him through and Fire Dept. & the Dahlgren Rescue Squad...At one point the DRS needed more manpower to respond to auto accidents. We recruited a group of men (primarily Fire Dept) to be our crash response team. Sonny was one of those that volunteered to man the Crash Truck and help with extrication of victims. They were an invaluable help to us. Sonny was one of the most energetic and responsible team members. He was always the nicest person. He will be greatly missed.

Rose and Family- I am proud and thankful to have had the opportunity to work and serve in the Fire Company with Sonny. Sonny was THE driving force behind King George Volunteer Fire Department Company 2. King George county residents were served well because of his efforts and countless hours of service. Please accept our condolences during this very difficult period.

Dear Rose and family, I am very sad to hear about Sonny. Just remember, he may be gone from this earth but he is always nearby--through the whispers of the wind, the glow of the sunlight, the spring rains, and falling leaves of autumn. Our country and community is ever grateful for the sacrifices he has made. My sympathy and prayers are with all of you now and in the days to come.

Sonny was a good man and a friend to everyone. I was a friend of his sister, June. We work together at NSWC and would take daily lunch walks to the machine shop that was right next to the building we worked in.. May your hearts be filled with warm thoughts and treasured moments of your dearly loved one. Praying that God's healing touch will comfort, support and strengthen you now and in the days ahead. With Deepest Sympathy, Donna, Rocky Garnett & Family
