Donald “Don” Francis Goodnow, 86, of Colonial Beach, VA, passed away on November 28, 2022.
Don retired at age 85 from NSWC, Dahlgren after 50 years of employment.
Don is preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Goodnow and a son-in-law, Kennon Bowen.
Don is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Goodnow; step-daughters, Kelly McClure (Michael), Kerry Sanford, Kasey Bowen; step-son, Michael Gibbons; daughter, Donna Goodnow; grandchildren, Dean Brown, Andrew Brown, Nikki Sanford, Alexis Bowen, Kaitlin McClure, Kamden Bowen; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Carter, Harrison, Hudson; and one great-great-grandson, Tyler Jr.
Don was a multi-talented individual, who was passionate about flying, vintage cars and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family and his four cats.
A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
