Elisabeth S. Lay

January 29, 1936 - August 3, 2020

Funeral will follow at 11:00am at Storke Funeral Home, 11089 James Madison Pkwy, King George VA. 22485.

Elisabeth Lay of King George Va.  She was guided by Angels home to our Great Lord. Elisabeth suffered from a long term illness and now is at peace, with no pain or suffering. And back with her three sons that she adored and loved deeply.

She was a mother of five, 4 boys and a daughter.  She was good mother and her life was her children.  Elisabeth was a good provider, she in her early year was very athletic and swam in the Olympics.  She was a fanatic about her home, everything had to be spotless and in place. She had a laugh and a smile that brighten up the room, many people lived to hear her talk, she was a spitfire! And loved by many.

She is survived by her Spouse A.J. Taylor, who was by her side thru her illness.  Her Son J.R. Lay of Fairfax. Her Daughter Carol Ausley and son in Law Max of AL.  As well and John C. Barker and Robert Johnson, lifelong friend of the family, and she felt like they were her own.  The 1st born Granddaughter Ms. Blake Brown, Brook L. Hurst, Taylor and Michele Lay.  2 great gran kids.  Her sisters in law, Louise, Shirley, Sonia, Phyllis, brother in law Shawn, Step son A.J. Taylor III.

She preceded in death, Curtis W. Lay, Son Curtis W. Lay II, Darrell E. Lay and baby boy Thomas H. Lay. Elisabeth Lay will be buried next to her baby boy.

Visitation will begin at 10am, Monday, August 10, 2020 at Storke Funeral Home, 11089 James Madison Pkwy, King George VA. 22485, 540-775-5525.  Funeral will follow at 11:00am at Storke Funeral Home.

She will be buried next to her son her baby boy at the Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens, 3270 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD. 20676 at 2pm.

Mom, rest in peace, say hi to my brothers and Dad, we miss you so bad, but now your home!

Thank you James for taking care of our mom and being by her side.  She adored you and loved you dearly.
