Franklin Perry “Fuzzy” Jones, 85, of Sparta, died Thurs., Jan. 24, 2019 at Bowling Green Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Spotsylvania, Fuzzy was a member of Salem Baptist Church and retired after 40 years at VDOT. He was the son of the late George and Bernice Jones. Survivors include two nieces, Tammy Deihr and Sandy Coghill; a nephew, Shane Jones; a sister-in-law, Katherine Brooks Jones and a special friend, Lavonne Matiak. Fuzzy was preceded in death by a brother, George Jones. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, Jan. 28, 2019 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green with Rev. Kevin James officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Sun., Jan. 27, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Baptist Church, 24032 Sparta Road, Milford, VA. 22514.
