Gerald L Jones

June 19, 1967 - March 19, 2022

Services will be held at Montague Baptist Church, 12187 Millbank Rd, King George, VA 22845 on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 2:30pm with a viewing from 1:00pm until just prior to the services.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Gerald L. Jones, 54, of Aldie, VA, (formally of King George, VA) passed away March 19, 2022, at Inova Fairfax Hospital from cardiac arrest.

Gerald was the most loving / devoted husband and father a family could ask for.  His interests included:  hunting, fishing, NASCAR, NHRA, watching the Atlanta Braves plus his Washington football team, eating tons of steamed crabs/shrimp, and always had to have his Kodiak smokeless tobacco.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  Gerald loved racing / spending time at Colonial Beach Raceway along with what use to be Old Dominion Raceway.  He grew up on a farm in King George and loved being on the farming equipment.  When he moved to the Northern Virginia area, he was a mechanic and enjoyed operating heavy equipment in the construction industry.  He took pleasure in coaching his son and daughters’ baseball / softball teams.  Gerald is very loved and will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Jones, and his brother Gregory Jones. 

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jones (Cox) of Aldie, VA, son, Daniel (Kayse) Jones of Summit Point, WV, daughter, Taylor (Travis) Grau of Mechanicsville, MD, brother, Randy Jones of Bealeton, VA, sister, Tracey Minter of King George, VA.  Additionally, four grandchildren, Remington, Parker, McKenna, and Harper Jones, two sons in Texas, Christopher and Justin Jones and their children, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held at Montague Baptist Church, 12187 Millbank Rd, King George, VA 22485 on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 2:30pm with a viewing from 1:00pm until just prior to the services.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
