Milton Junior “Billy” Staples, 73, of Colonial Beach, died Saturday, November 7, 2020, in Fredericksburg.

Billy was well known for his mechanical abilities and his compassion. He loved to fish, eat crabs and spend time in the outdoors. He was an old car enthusiast and enjoyed car shows, but most of all he cherished time with family, especially the grandchildren, and his dog, Harley.

Among his survivors are his children, Michael Staples (Rebecca) and Laura Ruiz Staples; companion of 26 years, Mary Inscoe; grandchildren, Will Staples, Samantha Staples, Laelah Staples and Tatyana Nava and great grandchildren, Jayden Reynolds and Zoe Staples.

The family will receive friends at Montague Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 on Thursday, November 12, 2020. A funeral service will begin at Noon with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
