Roy R. Hankins, 71, of Milford went to be with the Lord, Wed., Nov. 20, 2019. Roy was born July 28, 1948 in Bartley, West Virginia. He was a man of many trades. He served as a police officer for Tazewell, Virginia and War and Gary, West Virginia. He served McDowell, WV as an EMT for many years. He was a coal miner and worked as brick mason with his brother. Roy was a family man and his wife, daughter and grandson meant everything to him. Roy never met a stranger and was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Melvinia Hankins; a grandson, Darwin Escobar, six brothers, Frank, Joe, Herman, Johnny, Elmer and Lonnie Hankins and a sister, Loraine Walker. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Hankins; daughter, Tammy Escobar; son-in-law, Darwin Escobar; and a very special grandson, Carlos Escobar; a brother, Ricky Hankins; two sisters, Kathleen Stinson and Mary Roberts and several nieces and nephews. A service will be held 1 pm Sat. Nov. 30, 2019 in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green with Rev. Michael McGee officiating.
