July 18, 1949 - July 3, 2022

 

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday. July 12, 2022 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ryland Jerry Beazley, 72, of Milford passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at his home. Survivors include his daughter, Ruby Beazley Ferguson; partner, Wilma Nuckols; two brothers, Clyde “Doodle Man” Beazley (Margie) and William “Billy” Beazley (June); Wilma’s children, Candice McLean and Jesse “Jay Bird” Nuckols; six grandchildren, Makayla Beazley, Katlyn Melton, James Wilburt Melton IV, Rylee Ferguson, Ja’liyah Ferguson and Isaiah Ferguson; three great grandchildren, Essex Chinault, Emberlyn Chinault and Nova Grace Chinault; Wilma’s grandchildren, Roan McLean, Tate McLean, Connor McLean and Carys McLean.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Gail Samuels; brothers, Alfred Carter, Jimmy Beazley, Floyd “Flunker” Beazley, Cleveland “Rat” Beazley and his sister, Ruby Beazley Rollins. 

Ryland “Jerry” Beazley was born in 1949 in Richmond, VA to parents Clyde Beazley, Sr and Lorene “Lola” Beazley Helms. Jerry attended CT Smith High School in Ladysmith. Jerry began his career at Keller Ladder, Inc and was promoted to Supervisor. After leaving Keller Ladder, Inc, he joined his brothers, Billy and Doodle Man and became a self-employed dump truck driver for 30+ years.

Jerry loved everything about vintage cars and trucks. He owned several antique vehicles over the years, and he enjoyed entering car shows and competing. He won several trophies and proudly displayed them. In addition, he enjoyed hunting in his earlier years and antiquing with Wilma later in life. Jerry was known for his sense of humor and remarkable ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. He was a loving father and devoted partner to Wilma.
