Samantha Ann Gross, daughter of the late Gregory J. Gross and Deborah Burkett, was born on September 3, 1979, in Woodbridge, Virginia. Samantha slipped into eternal rest on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Spotsylvania Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Allison.

Samantha was baptized in 2008 at Salem Baptist Church in Sparta. Virginia. She graduated from Woodbridge High School. After high school, she studied accounting and business administration at VCU and University of Mary Washington. She had a love for the Washington Commanders, horses, math, Eddie Vodder of the Pearl Jam band and Jared Leto. She loved her hair and was a determined, smart and intellectual individual. Samantha was a published author and was employed at International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) in Arlington, Virginia as Director of Finance for 22 years until her health failed.

Samanth was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved being Gram Gram, was spiritual, kind, and always wanted the best for others. She loved to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted children, Victoria Ann Gross, Grey Batchelor, and Joe Allen Batchelor, Jr.; one sister, Trina Gross, one brother, Lee Allison and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
