A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, January 30, at 6p at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel.
Inurnment of her ashes, with Navy honors, will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined.
Edith J. Chapman, 76 of Colonial Beach passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 31, 2022, as the result of a traffic accident. Born in Great Falls, Montana, she had retired after 30 years of civil service at the Navy Yard in Washington DC. During the Vietnam era, she served in the United States Navy and a corpsman. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Souza; her brother, Roland Chapman and her fur baby, “Hunter.” A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, January 30, at 6p at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel.
