Ralph Thomas Shelton, age 95, of King George, Virginia, finally made it home to see his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 28, 2022.  He was born on January 14, 1927, in Indian Head, Maryland, to George and Katherine Shelton.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Velma, and his son, Tommy.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Jimmy) Shepard, granddaughter, Amber (Jeffery) Thompson and his beloved great-grandsons, J. Alexander and Judah Thompson.  He was one of eighteen children and leaves behind three brothers, Robert (Gwen) Shelton, Pete Shelton, Norman (Carolyn) Shelton, as well as two sisters, Thelma Wesely and Shirley Woods, and his sister-in-law, Anne Shelton (the late Stanley).  Ralph deeply loved his extended family too. His nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces were his treasures. Friends, who quickly became family, also shared a special place in his heart.

He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. After serving, he met and married his wife, Velma, and together they shared sixty-eight years of marriage. Ralph was employed as an electrician on the naval base in Indian Head, Maryland, until his retirement. He was a kind man who loved gardening, canning, family gatherings, treating people to dinner at restaurants, attending homeschool events with his great-grandsons, singing hymns and attending church. Most importantly, Ralph loved Jesus and told everyone he met about Him.
