Winifred Virginia Frank, 88, of Colonial Beach passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023.  She was the widow of William G. “Sonny” Frank.  Winifred was a retired medical office assistant for Dr. Horace Kerr in Colonial Beach for thirty-two years.  She was a member of Round Hill Baptist Church and a lifelong member of CBVRS.  Winifred was also preceded in death by her son Garrett McKinley “Mac” Parker, III, her siblings Martha Sanders, Fran Ammons and Ernest Ammons, Jr. and her beloved cat Miss Patty Fitz.  She is survived by her daughter Melanie (Mark) Swick of Colonial Beach and her step-son Rick (Kellie) Frank of  Fredericksburg; her brother in law Ed Sanders of  Fredericksburg; three grandchildren Elena Swick, Sarah Frank and Emily Frank; numerous nieces and nephews including Jeanine Sanders Marchese and Lea Sanders Nolan and her precious feline baby Merlin.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wendy’s Feline Friends, 1228 Holly Vista Dr, Colonial Beach, VA 22443, [email protected].
