Kenneth Sigsbee Clift, Sr., 79, of King George, Virginia passed away in his home unexpectedly on February 5th after a brief illness (not Covid related).

Kenny was born on May 5th, 1941 in King George, Virginia to Sigsbee Bowie Clift & Margaret Harris Clift. Many knew him by Kenny, Ace, Put-Paw, Pee-Pop, Paw-Paw, or Poppy, if you knew him, you loved him. Kenny was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather to (10), great-grandfather to (11), and a great-great grandfather to 1, and above all – a friend. There was always a smile on his face, a coffee mug or a cigarette in hand, and a mesh baseball cap on his head. You could see him coming down the road in his old blue Ford truck as he rode up and down Route three running errands.

A life-long resident of King George County, Kenny dedicated the majority of his time to volunteer for the King George County Fire Department. He spent over 30 years serving his community, several of those years as the Fire Chief. When he was not volunteering, he worked and ran a farm with his parents. Kenny was known around the county for his “scrap obsession”. Nothing went to waste, or was not recycled, when he was around. Kenny loved to visit his friends and family members and spent time visiting them all through the week.  Kenny dearly loved King George County.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Olive of 22 years; a beloved sister, Judith Stanfield of Texas; his children Kenneth “Smokey” Clift (Crissy), Elissa C. Lewis (Dickie), and Shawn C. Burrell (Keith); stepchildren Mindy Fuller (Brad), Lisa Olive, Jodi Rossman (Jason), Julie Olive (Horsace). His parents, Sigsbee and Margaret Clift, and his brother Bowie Charles Clift preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, February 20 at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel.
